Kodak Black is at the center of a new Grand Theft Auto VI conversation after fans spotted a character in Rockstar Games’ latest launch-gallery images who appears to resemble the South Florida rapper.

Why fans think it’s Kodak
The discussion centers on a figure shown in Rockstar’s official promotional gallery. Hip-hop outlets and fans have pointed to the character’s face tattoos, hairstyle and jewelry as reasons they believe the image depicts Kodak.
There is an important distinction, though: Rockstar’s gallery does not identify the character by name. The studio has not publicly explained whether the figure is Kodak, a fictional character inspired by him, or someone else. Kodak has not publicly detailed a role in the game either.
Kodak already has a connection to the game’s music
Kodak’s music has previously been associated with the game’s Florida-inspired soundtrack conversation. Rockstar has separately announced a 34-track Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album for the game’s November 19 launch. That soundtrack announcement does not, on its own, confirm an on-screen character appearance.
What is confirmed—and what isn’t
Confirmed: Rockstar released the promotional gallery, and the image is part of its official GTA VI material. Reported: viewers and entertainment outlets believe one character resembles Kodak Black. Not confirmed by Rockstar: the character’s identity, whether Kodak voices the character, or whether he has a larger role in the game.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to arrive November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The Shade Wire takeaway
Fans may have spotted a familiar face in Vice City, but until Rockstar names the character, this remains a strong fan identification—not an official casting announcement. Would you want to see Kodak make a full cameo in GTA VI?
