Claressa Shields is keeping her back-and-forth with Gervonta “Tank” Davis going—and her latest response has the internet talking. After Davis criticized the outfit she wore to her Atlanta listening party, Shields posted an AI-generated image showing him in a version of the same look.

How the exchange started

Shields hosted her “Gloves Off, Mic On” listening party in Atlanta on November 2, celebrating her single “Party” and previewing music from her upcoming project, What Did You Expect. Coverage of the event reported that more than 500 guests attended and that nine tracks were previewed.

On November 3, Davis shared footage of Shields at the event on his Instagram Story and criticized her outfit. Shields responded publicly by directing attention to her new single, “Party.”

Shields turns the joke around

On November 5, Shields escalated the online exchange by sharing an AI-generated image depicting Davis wearing a look inspired by the black lace-up jumpsuit she had worn to the listening party. The image was digitally generated; it is not a real photograph of Davis wearing the outfit.

Shields also addressed the dispute in a post on X, saying Davis had left part of a private text exchange out of what he shared and making clear that she and her partner, rapper Papoose, were not on good terms with him.

A social-media feud with a music rollout in the background

The exchange has drawn attention beyond boxing because it overlaps with Shields’ push into music. Her single “Party” is out, while the full project What Did You Expect has been previewed but did not have a confirmed release date in the reports reviewed for this story.

For now, the public back-and-forth remains a social-media dispute. The Shade Wire is distinguishing the AI image from an authentic photograph and the online comments from independently established facts.
